Artificial Limb & Rehabilitation – DSMNRU – LUCKNOW

 

To meet this increasing demand of providing highest quality Prosthetics & Orthotics and Rehabilitation Care to the physically challenged person, Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh has decided to set-up an Artificial Limb and Rehabilitation Centre in its premises, This Centre will take up the activities of providing clinical services, conducting outreach programs, engages itself in Research & Development Activities and also run training programs in the field of Prosthetics & Orthotics. The ultimate goal is to become a Centre of Excellence in the world.

Aims & Objective

To provide Prosthetics & Orthotics and Rehabilitation Care to the patients of own University and to that of general public who need such services, with most suitable orthoses and prostheses.

To initiate clinical services programs to attract new-patient referrals by establishing relationships with physicians, therapists, employers, managed care organizations, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, out-patient clinics and insurance companies not only in Lucknow but in various parts of Uttar Pradesh and also from whole of the country.

To utilize professional education programs for practitioners emphasizing new developments in the increasingly sophisticated field of O&P clinical therapy.

To create a revenue generating rehabilitation facility at the Hospital.

To create networking & liaison with national & international institutes to undertake research & development activities.

To run Bachelor’s and Master’s Programme in Prosthetics & Orthotics.
