About the Department
The Department of Microbiology, Dr Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University,
Lucknow, is a premier centre for study of microbiological research. The Department was
established in the year 2015 with an intake of 40 students in M.Sc. Microbiology (50% seats
are reserved for physically challenged students). With a view to encourage research based
teaching and applied learning, a world class infrastructure has been established in the

is going on in the Department.
Our vision is to find solutions to the global challenges with one of the efficient consortium of
microbiologists around the world.
